Carbon monoxide detectors now mandatory in homes

Ottawa home owners it is now mandatory to have carbon monoxide detectors in your home. It is very important that you do this for safety reasons and to avoid any possible fines.

Who is required to have carbon monoxide detectors:

– homes with any oil, propane or gas-burning appliances.
– those with a furnace or water heater.
– homes with a wood or gas fireplace.
– homes with attached garage or carport.

You can face a $360 fine if you are caught without one so please make sure you get one in your home asap. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Ottawa Senators in the Playoffs! Ottawa Residents get first chance at tickets!

The Ottawa Senators are about to begin Round 1 of the NHL Playoffs against the Montreal Canadiens and here at The Ottawa Home Renovator,we are so happy to here that the companies selling tickets were giving first priority to Ottawa Residents. This goes to show how much love and support the city has for its home team and the struggle they have gone through to make it into the dance.
